There was no denying it.  I was in trouble and he was the best private detective in town.  No one wants to believe you when you say you have been framed but if you happen to catch the eye of said detective, you can work out a very agreeable arrangement for their services.  A pretty face, some black lace and a few strands of pearls can have you in your own denial twist before you realize what happened.
