Mandala was one of the first stores I was ever taken to in SL.  I still remember how in awe I was over every little thing in there that first day I walked in under the wing of my friend and ready to shop.  The jewelry is always so unique.  The first half of the summer collection has been released and the particular set I am wearing is called tefutefu (which according to the Mandala blog means Butterfly).  This set was created to celebrate 5 years on Tempura Island.  It comes in 6 color options and each has a hud that allows you to change the leather background on the piece.  There are several other releases which you can view or read about on their blog:  HERE  Or better yet go to their store:  HERE

The World Goth Fair is underway and you can find out more about the event and the locations HERE.  Hate crimes of any type are something that makes me ill, it makes my stomach turn and my skin crawl to think that there are people out there with such a horrific mindset that they would abuse, attack or even murder someone based on someone being different than they are.  The World Goth Fair supports the Sophie Lancaster Foundation which you can read about HERE.  

I am happy to show off the Pin Me Down items available at the fair right now.  The amazing eyeliner I am sporting comes in a pack of 8 different options.  I liked them ALL but this was my favorite hands down.  Those of us who love our slink hands really love our nail appliers.  PMD has released a set with a dark and Gothic feel to it ranging from spiderwebs to these pretty awesome white on black crosses I have here.

Dirty Laundry - My SL Guilty Confessions Meme

Miss Berry has put out another meme this week and I decided to jump in and give it a go.  You can find the original here.  So here are some of my guilty confessions about SL.

1.  My inventory is a disaster.  I just cannot seem to focus on cleaning it or shaving it down long enough to make it workable.  I am often messaging Skylar out of the blue going what was the name of that thing we bought at the place on that day?  I am lucky she has not stabbed me yet.

2.  I am surrounded by people with OCD and I am their polar opposite with so many things.  I have a few quirks but I never have that drive they do.  It is why my furniture is sometimes floating, or away from a wall or all of that stuff.  Thankfully there are two lovely people that when they are at my house they fix that sort of thing.  I never argue.  They love me and I love them!

3.  I am terrified of confrontation, even in an SL platform.  I am a fixer by nature but I seriously lack the necessary pair of balls that some of you have an I admire.  That said, I will stalk the hell out of the drama and enjoy it from a back seat with popcorn even if I do not dive in.  

4.  I am a shopaholic.  I totally forget I buy things, forget to unbox things, its sort of out of control.  Refer back to number 1.  

5.  SL seems to amplify my ADHD to new levels.  I have been known to randomly yell squirrel in an IM when I realize I drifted.  There are so many things I always want to get done and I wind up getting hyper focused and losing track of IMs and conversations regularly.  I am lucky to have some amazing friends that take me as is, the good and bad.  :)

Well it seems the 8th of the month is always a devastating time for my bank account but a very happy time for me.  Collabor88 was fantastic in my personal opinion and I tackled the event with as much gusto as a girl has at 7am with a cup of coffee.There is so much to highlight and this is a small sampling of what is available.  

Ison has released both the pants and the shoes I am wearing here.  Both are available in a range of colors and worth the demo.  I am a pretty basic pants girl so I stuck with the classic denim look here but I splurged on the seafoam shoes.  You know I do not fatpack as often as I probably would love to, but hey, we all have to have a budget.  That said, Auxiliary .. god what you do to me.  If you pop over to my flickr you can probably see the ring better I am wearing, the melting hearts are just amazing and I was not about to buy a single color.  Nor was I with these shirts because they are amazing.  They also come in a cropped version which is just the ruffles.  The D!va hair was of course worth a demo, I do love the ginger tone that gets a special release for the event.  And of course I bought out every Maxi Gossamer item there.  It is hard to see my necklace here perhaps but trust me when I say to go and check it out in person.  The details are outstanding.

I like to think I know both of my SL sisters better than most.  I may not always be sister or friend of the year but they are always in my heart and mind.  I see a little of them in everything be it SL or RL.  Sometimes I am in a store and think hey Skylar or Ada would love this and they get a random message from me.  Last night I got a notecard from Severed Garden for this dress release and I zipped on over.  The prices there by the way are AMAZING if you are ever looking for something cute and they have gifting options.  Needless to say I saw this dress and knew Ada needed it immediately with this boho style and batik bottom.  So I dragged her off to Kaelyn's sim (It All Starts With a Smile) and this just sort of happened.  (I am sending Skylar the pink one when I see her, shhhhh!)  :)

Some mornings you just wake up in a bright and sunny mood.  You know yellow is not typically my thing, but for some reason today it is.  You can all stop clutching your chests or pearls in shock now that I am not dressed in some fantasy garb.  I was honestly itching do do something a little more on the norm this morning. As many of you know from the stampede to the store yesterday Mon Tissu released these new dresses and they are downright adorable.  Totally worth checking out for a demo.  This adorable lady bug jewelry set was available at the last fameshed.  I have a feeling it may be closed down for change over but fear not, I am sure Maxi will put them in her store quite soon if you missed them!  

Most importantly, lets talk about the slink nail appliers, cause oh my god!  The one draw back to the hands for me had always been I missed a lot of my fun nails.  Adore and Abhor has been just pushing out adorable designs for these in the last few weeks.  Here I am wearing her Kitten Claws set which has 6 color options in it.  Go get them!  Enjoy them!  They are cute!!

One of the best parts of diving in to blogging the Faire is the fact I have broadened my horizons and met some genuinely nice creators I had never run across before.  Its been really a treat to try new things and see things I would not have before.  This skin is from TempT and has some pretty cool scale work on it.  I of course need little excuse to pop on a pair of horns so I had a lot of fun getting my bad ass on for a picture. Panda Express made these amazing little head sprouts in a variety of styles.  The exclusive one has some pretty awesome little butterflies buzzing around it.  There are also ones with petals falling off, basic leaves and mouth daisies, oh my!  This particular one in the set however really caught my eye with the raindrops and the lady bug, I am a sucker for small details like that.  They are a lot of fun so make sure not to pass them by while you are visiting!  I had been waiting for an excuse to blog this hair with flowers from Ploom which was from the Zodiac event for Aries, this head sprout gave me the perfect chance.

I gotta say, I may not have a popular opinion on this one, but Snow White, never really did it for me as far as the Disney version.  Even in the Grimm's version I was a little worried about the girls mind, I mean how many times does the queen have to come at you in the same disguise before you figure it out?  I suppose like Mae West said... I drifted... boy I drifted.

I did get a chance to show off this League outfit.  It is now available in the main store as the Whore Couture event is over and it comes in tons of colors.  The corset has studded and non studded options as well.  Have fun mixing and matching them!  I have to fess up to this pose.  Its an old what next winter stump pose.  I just made the stump invisible for the picture.  :D

I am so behind in Disney Bound SL, and this is a challenge I did not want to fall behind in.  Alas, this time of year always sets me back.  However instead of giving up hope I decided to catch up and I could not think of a better place to steal a picture for Kiss The Girl than over at Kaelyn's sim.  You can go explore for your own pictures:  Here

I knew when this part of the challenge came out what I was going to wear right away.  This is one of my favorite hairs from DeLa and it was just perfect to capture the spirit of the theme.  Sn@tch released this dress a few weeks ago as well and I knew I would use it for this picture immediately.  Please note the corset and skirt at the dress, the extra addition of the white shirt is an old school favorite from Jane that I keep as a staple.

Busting Out Of My Bubble!

I finally did it! You may or may not know, I started a challenge back in January. It's called The Bust Out Of Your Bubble Challenge...and it's taken me forever to get my junk together and get it done!

Like a lot of people, I chose to have myself matched up with someone, randomly. I got super lucky and was matched with Roxi Bluewood from Cosmopolitan! I was way excited because she is adorable and our styles are rather similar! We talked back and forth a few times a week, trying to get our schedules together...and finally this week we worked it out! Roxi is adorable so it made taking our pics easy! And we had both been selected as Pose Fair 2013 bloggers, so we had TONS of poses to choose from! We used Infinity's Entwine pose above and Atooly's Pose 45 for the super fun pic below!

I wanted to show off a few new things.  Firstly Embody has released a pack of poses called Talk to Me for the pose fair.  They each come with a cell phone prop to fit the pose and are pretty darn adorable.  I tossed myself on my Digs daybed from a previous FLF to take the shot I loved it so much.  I am usually a mix and match person but I have to say getting a whole outfit in one box is kind of handy.  Ducknipple released a few new full outfits available on Marketplace right now, they are worth taking a peek at and I find their full outfits mix and match so nicely with other parts of their sets if you want to change things up.  Also... new Truth hair, need I say more?   Lots to demo and see, I may even catch up on it all one day! :)

This is sort of an ode to Ducknipple as I pieced together a few of their new releases for this look.  The big positive about the Ducknipple stuff is generally you get a color change hud so you are getting a lot of outfits in one thing, no picking and choosing colors.  They are all there.  The sweater is actually part of an outfit called Vintage outfit and the sweater is comes with a hud with 12 different color options.  I decided to pair it up with their mini skirt instead though because I wanted to show off these adorable socks!  They come with and without shoe options and are also texture and color change so you can have anything from stripes to polka dots and even argyle.  You can go play with demos of all this stuff here.

Of course the adorable little lamb you see there is from Adore & Abhor.  This is not part of the gacha at zodiac but is a purchase in store but was part of fifty linden Friday instead.  :)

Week 9 of 50 Shades of Sexy is upon us and the theme is Pillow Talk.  If you have not yet checked out the challenge it is not too late to join in the fun.  We had a lot of fun setting this up and while I wish I could take credit for some of the more amusing touches (like that ruler), I cannot.  This fun little lingerie set comes from 1 Hundred.  The name of the store means exactly that, everything in there is 100L or under.  I think I bought at least three of these when they came out because they were so cute.  You should check them out!  I used another earlier this week on the blog.  

The biggest thing we kept joking about while taking this picture was what are we reading.  So far our answers have been everything from Dr. Seuss to other things not very Dr. Seuss at all.  You can pick up this adorable pose along with the books over at Exposeur.  Check it out!
