Some mornings you just wake up in a bright and sunny mood.  You know yellow is not typically my thing, but for some reason today it is.  You can all stop clutching your chests or pearls in shock now that I am not dressed in some fantasy garb.  I was honestly itching do do something a little more on the norm this morning. As many of you know from the stampede to the store yesterday Mon Tissu released these new dresses and they are downright adorable.  Totally worth checking out for a demo.  This adorable lady bug jewelry set was available at the last fameshed.  I have a feeling it may be closed down for change over but fear not, I am sure Maxi will put them in her store quite soon if you missed them!  

Most importantly, lets talk about the slink nail appliers, cause oh my god!  The one draw back to the hands for me had always been I missed a lot of my fun nails.  Adore and Abhor has been just pushing out adorable designs for these in the last few weeks.  Here I am wearing her Kitten Claws set which has 6 color options in it.  Go get them!  Enjoy them!  They are cute!!

I am so behind in Disney Bound SL, and this is a challenge I did not want to fall behind in.  Alas, this time of year always sets me back.  However instead of giving up hope I decided to catch up and I could not think of a better place to steal a picture for Kiss The Girl than over at Kaelyn's sim.  You can go explore for your own pictures:  Here

I knew when this part of the challenge came out what I was going to wear right away.  This is one of my favorite hairs from DeLa and it was just perfect to capture the spirit of the theme.  Sn@tch released this dress a few weeks ago as well and I knew I would use it for this picture immediately.  Please note the corset and skirt at the dress, the extra addition of the white shirt is an old school favorite from Jane that I keep as a staple.

Eleventh Hour - New!

So, April 1st was good for something other than all those crazy pranks. (Plurk Metro? Really?) A brand spanking new mesh home decor store, Eleventh Hour, opened! River Stromfield is a friend on plurk...and I was occasionally catching pics of some of the stuff coming out when Eleventh Hour was going to open and, I have to admit, I was getting really excited! I simply had to check out Izzie's sim after she changed over from winter and it was simply amazing.  I knew I wanted a picture there and when I stumbled across this little pink cutie I knew I needed to pause right there and take my picture with him.  I think we even bonded and I have fondly named him Bartholmew.  Alas. I feel a little nostalgic on this one.  When I first came to SL I really wanted to roleplay and one of the first sims I found was Ravenhurst.  I took a little walk down memory lane there today to take some blog pictures as it fit the beat up urban style I was looking for.  Things have changed, they always do, and now they are on a new storyline.  If you like something dark urban with a twist of supernatural in there I suggest you take a look to see what they have to offer!

Comfortable

This is a day late, but technically, I took the picture yesterday! So it still counts! SL Blogger Support's "Inspire Me" topic for Tuesday was "A few of my favorite things". When I woke up it just seemed like a comfy cozy kind of day, so I immediately went to some old stand by's in my inventory....you know, those things that if they were RL items they'd be worn out and well broken in. And of course, I had to take the picture in my favorite room of the house...my bedroom. I fell in love with the West Lake house from L2 Studio the second it was released. Being that I have a large family in sl, I had to mod this house a bit and my room ended up being so cozy and comfy! I'm ready to crawl into my bed and lounge the day away!

Storm On Somersley

For those of you who don't know, Somersley Estates is a family RP community in SL. This past week, My daughter Harper  and I were lucky enough to rent and move into 800 Navarita Lane on Pleasant Valley. Gabrielle Somersley and her team were extremely helpful and more than willing to help us get situated in our new home.  I haven't had the opportunity to meet many neighbors yet, but the few that I have are wonderful.  There is so much to do in the community, its amazing! There's an elementary and preschool for your children,  a hospital for any medical need you could possibly think of, a police and fire department who patrol the streets on a regular basis, weekly garbage pick up, a newspaper, a movie theater, a bank, an actual court house and SO much more! Well, imagine our surprise when we heard our first weather report and a severe storm was predicted to roll through Somersley! The storm started Friday with heavy rain and lightening strikes (in our own driveway!). People were reporting tornado sightings and power outages all night long. What we saw on Friday was nothing compared to what came through on Saturday! There were huge tornado's and flooding and several houses were destroyed, one of them being ours!

Thankfully, we got out in time and no one was hurt. The police and firemen showed up right away and made sure everyone was safe and escorted us to the shelter where a nurse looked us over to be sure we weren't injured. They gave us food and took good care of us until we were allowed to go back to what was left of our homes.

Now that things are back to normal, I have to say I am really impressed with the Somersley community. If you're into family RP or looking for a home with the community feel, definitely check it out!

Feed My Frankenstein

Have you ever been to Le Bistro Foods?  The creator Amera Pomilio is probably one of the most energetic and nicest people you will ever deal with.  She has a lot of amazing perks if you are in her group or even her subscribo and her customer service has always been above and beyond.  She often has demonstrations for new products too and shows you how to use all of her clever scripting.  Fear not, if you miss a demo her step by step notecards are super easy to follow.  One of her most recent specials was a Halloween cookie set.  For a limited time she bundled both packs of cookies together for the price of one.  You have to be quick, her specials go fast!  I enlisted my twin to help me bake both batches.  I should have known from the start it was going to be me baking and her supervising.  Look, she already had her wine poured and a back up glass at the ready!!!



After we (meaning me!) mixed all that batter and shaped and baked all those yummy cookies those Apponos Aprons from the Zodiac event for Libra sure came in handy.  I stayed clean from all that frosting and dough.  Skylar managed to not spill any wine on her clothes.  That super cute apron blocked all!  Look at that slacker... supervising.



Thankfully the cookies came with these great little snap containers to store them all when we were done.  The kids are going to be thrilled when they find out we have cookies in the house.  I would love to tell you Skylar is back there supervising the cookies, however I think she finished that bottle of wine.


Sleep sweet sissy, have dreams of tiny Frankensteins and Candy Corns.
