I decided to move a bit out of my comfort zone.  Aric mentioned a live photoshop editing he wanted to watch one night and I joined him.  (You can see his flickr work HERE)  I was floored at the level of work that was going in to this portrait and at the same time I was flooded with all these amazing ideas of how to do things I had never thought of before.  I was unable to watch the edit in its entirety but even the bits I caught just opened my eyes and made me want to spread my wings a little to improve myself.  If you ever see one come across flickr I strongly encourage you to dive in and watch.  This is the artist I got the pleasure of watching:  Rebekah Lyter .  So thank you for sharing Rebekah! :)

So... I know you can guess what I am blogging about.  That is right, Fantasy Faire 2013.  Have you been yet?  No?  Why not?

I have to admit I squeed when I put on this Fallen Gods skin.  I was surprised because well, reptiles and I usually keep a healthy distance.  But god the details of the body were so amazing. I found myself quite enjoying it.  You can tell in a glance there was some serious work put in there.  This skin is worth a peek, it has this purple hued base to it and it comes in the tone you see here as well as ones with highlights from yellows to reds to a cool blue.  Go play with it, its fun!

I enjoy Grimm's fairy tales.  And by Grimm's fairy tales I mean the real deal.  Not the glossed over sugared up versions that the populace has generally accepted over the years.  Granted I believe they have a place and obviously not in a children's book.   They are rather eye opening and disturbing none the less.  If you have never taken a look at how all the "classics" started out, I suggest taking a peek down that dark and twisted path sometime if you dare.  Little red riding hood did... and she seems to have tangled with a wolf.



 

 

Now granted my versions as depicted above holds no accuracy to the original story either, but it was certainly an enjoyable trip, minus all the screaming and yelling being grabbed like a rag doll by the beast.  Do enjoy your bad romance's this week my friends!

I had no idea what I was going to do with these feathers Boom released for Collabor88 but I just knew I needed them.  The whole whimsical bit fell together between Flowey's sky box with these amazing cloud textures and this other lovely skin from Glam Affair available there as well.  I was surprised and delighted of course to also find Truth had put a hair in for this round.  Last but not least, you all know my love for Maxi Gossamer so here is so more of her jewelry from this month's collection.

I picked up this fun pose from Emody.  They sell a pack of aerial poses there that are quite fun and a perfect fit with these boxes in this blogger's opinion.

It is always a beautiful day when Collabor88 opens, at least in my eyes.  This month was a one stop shopping experience of amazing.  Why in fact everything but my beloved Gos shoes and staples such as eyes and hands are from there in this picture.

I do not even know where to begin, it was hard to sort out what I even wanted to wear first.  I will tell you though at the expense of my lindens I now own this dress from Hucci in three colors and fat packed the hats from Glam Affair.  Also this skin from Glam Affair is positively amazing and I strongly suggest you demo it.  Maxi Gossamer put out some amazing jewelry and this is a sampling from her Khaleesi's Temptation set there.  They are all metal and color change so you get a lot of options with it as always!  The Diva hair is too fun!  It also comes with flower options as well but I kept it simple since my amazing hat says it all!

I was feeling rather casual and comfy today and this felt like the perfect outfit to try out the new pack of poses from HISPose.  HISmodel IV is out now and I just love the set.  As you can see I had trouble just doing one picture.  They do take a slight adjustment if you have a curvy body but I am never one to shy away from a challenge. 

Izzie's released these basic shirts recently in her store in both short and long sleeve versions.  She has them by color packs and then also sells appliers as well.  Go Boobs!  They have instantly become my go to basic shirt for just about anything and I highly recommend checking them out.  Even if you are not on team boobie, they are sold without the appliers and seen as worn here!

* I was asked a few times about the hoodie and I apologize as when I see my credits I had not made it clear.  The hoodie is actually part of the hair from CaTwA.  She makes it in a braided and loose version and the hoodie is color change.  There is also an option to purchase additional colors and patterns for it as well!  Happy shopping.

I never know how something is going to fall together or where it will take me when I set up a picture.  I start out with one idea and it just seems to morph and twist into something unrecognizable from the first.  However the whole outfit begged for a rather shy and dainty type setting in my eyes. It seems to fit with all I have on my mind today.  By the way, the new LeLutka is so worth hopping over for a demo!  I think this hair is just adorable.

You keep hearing me say it but Fameshed is restocked again and it is positively worth the adventure over.  Secret Store released the amazing dress you see above in a variety of color combinations that made choosing which to purchase a difficult task!  LaRoo has also put out some wow with their new shoes.  The Lizzy T-Strap pumps come in 10 shades and are unrigged so you can adjust as size as necessary to fit how you like.

Birthdays have that nasty habit of sneaking up on you when you are not looking.  Mine always comes with a bittersweet twist to it these days.  While I do enjoy the celebration, and well a day just for me, I lost a very near and dear person to my heart on my birthday six years ago.  I was pregnant, and my grandfather, the man who raised me never got a chance to meet his great grandson.  It breaks my heart my son never got a chance to grow up around that amazing man like I did.  So of course while I enjoy the cake, the lovely flowers and presents and the celebration of it all I spend a great deal of time reflecting and celebrating his life in my heart.

I was in a sort of whimsical and fun mood when I decided I needed to stay on top of my blog pictures since the holiday break really put me behind where I personally wanted to be.  This shirt will forever be known to me as Skylar's nipple shirt.  She kept throwing glimpses out during a game of Cheesi to distract the players... the big cheater!  This shirt from Tee*fy and this jewelry from Yummy is yet another thing you can find at Collabor88 this month.  Also thank you to lamb for this hair, I fell in love with it when I first snatched it up so I am happy I am finally blogging it.

I simply knew when I get this very unique outfit from R2 Designs at Collabor88 I would not do a normal string of pictures.  What I planned on and what I did though are two entirely different things.  Still I like when those happy accidents come along and you end up with something rather unique.  This metallic dress and boots are available in several colors there now for a very reasonable price!

 

I nearly forgot I purchased this bow and pose set from Zodiac a little ways back from the Sagittarius.  I hate when I lost track of something so amazing in my inventory.  You can always rely on Hopscotch for when you need something really cool and different!

Collabor88 opened with a bang this month, a stunning metallic bang of goodies.  It was hard to even decide where to start after that little shopping venture.  The shimmer dress from The Sea Hole was just too amazing to pass up.  I love the bleed effects on all of her shades but I finally settled on this set along with its adorable matching headband.  Glam Affair did not disappoint with a lovely variation on the Renee skin which I of course had to have.  And anyone who knows me knows I cannot pass up Maxi Gossamer jewelry.  I am showing off two of the four releases she had there.  Happy shopping if you have not made it over yet or were waiting for that initial rush to die down.  There are still a few items not yet out so of course it gives a great reason to keep going back!

 

This picture was taken at Shadey Falls which is a 1920s RP sim.  While I have not personally RPed in this place I have friends that do and love it.  The build is quite exceptional as far as RP sims go, I found it better than most and I did see some players going in and out

So, The Men's Department opened this weekend. I originally eyed The Manhattan Pipe from Adjunct on my first trip there. Instead, I met my new friend, Alejandro, and got slightly sidetracked. *waves* Anyway, I kept thinking about it over the next day and I decided I needed to go back and get it. The fun that my family and I have had with this pipe has been beyond measure! Thanks, Adjunct! I also need to point out my beautiful skin! This was sent out in the Glam Affair group this morning!
