The Under the Sea Expo is presently underway and they have things to fit all of your underwater aquatic needs.  If you are a mermaid lover especially this is something you should check out.  I think nothing made me laugh though quite like these "Friendly" tentacles from Curio Obscura.  They have 15 sits and there are three styles that come from floor, wall and ceiling as well as some portals she included if you want them popping out of that.  There is also a hunt going on there as well so if you love a hunt go check it out.  Don't forget your snorkel.

Things never turn out the way you start them.  This picture for example became the exact opposite of what I originally was looking for.  I had something more city and cable cars and sunshine in mind.  Some days SL searching scares me though and I will not share with you what some of my search results for very innocent seeming things yielded.  When in doubt I seem to always find my way back to Gilmour and I am never disappointed with what photo magic ends up happening there.

I am wearing things from well, everything going on right now.  Boom has these amazing friendship bracelets at the Arcade for 25L a play.  It may seem like I have quite a few but I think I need more.  Right now at Collabor88 you can get these amazing ruffled shirts from Auxiliary as well as this jewelry from Maxi Gossamar that tossed me right back in to the 90s.  This Exile hair is available now at Fameshed.  There is lots of good stuff all over the place right  now, so happy shopping.

Miss Berry has put out another meme this week and I decided to jump in and give it a go.  You can find the original here.  So here are some of my guilty confessions about SL.

1.  My inventory is a disaster.  I just cannot seem to focus on cleaning it or shaving it down long enough to make it workable.  I am often messaging Skylar out of the blue going what was the name of that thing we bought at the place on that day?  I am lucky she has not stabbed me yet.

2.  I am surrounded by people with OCD and I am their polar opposite with so many things.  I have a few quirks but I never have that drive they do.  It is why my furniture is sometimes floating, or away from a wall or all of that stuff.  Thankfully there are two lovely people that when they are at my house they fix that sort of thing.  I never argue.  They love me and I love them!

3.  I am terrified of confrontation, even in an SL platform.  I am a fixer by nature but I seriously lack the necessary pair of balls that some of you have an I admire.  That said, I will stalk the hell out of the drama and enjoy it from a back seat with popcorn even if I do not dive in.  

4.  I am a shopaholic.  I totally forget I buy things, forget to unbox things, its sort of out of control.  Refer back to number 1.  

5.  SL seems to amplify my ADHD to new levels.  I have been known to randomly yell squirrel in an IM when I realize I drifted.  There are so many things I always want to get done and I wind up getting hyper focused and losing track of IMs and conversations regularly.  I am lucky to have some amazing friends that take me as is, the good and bad.  :)

To say that I am adverse to change is a pretty huge understatement. It's very hard for me to change the staples of my av's look aside from a new release from the same creators I'm already comfortable with. This is why I love events like Skin Fair because it gives me an opportunity to check out things I normally wouldn't. Tokyo girl is not a skin line I was familiar with before today. I snagged some demo's and tossed them on for fun and totally fell in love! This face is totally adorable...and we all know how I am about some adorable! And I love the Asian feel, as well...something I totally didn't expect! Moral of the story kids....you never know what you may discover if you reach out just a bit further than normal. ♥

Have you checked out Hiatus Tattoos, yet? If not, what are you waiting for? The female tattoos that Silvia Oskar has been coming out with are pretty spectacular. This weekend she released two new tattoos for the guys! Squee!! Mr Fenix is wearing "The Rider", a full sleeve and front chest tattoo with super manly stuff like skulls and bikes. I will admit, its super hot. Also released, a male version of the "Flying Skull" tattoo, previously released for females only! So, girl, grab your boys and get them over to Hiatus! You will not regret it, I promise!

It should be no surprise that when DCNY released these dresses at My Attic  the Constellations team  jumped all over the chance to dress up like the spice girls.  We made a bee line for these babies and remarkably there was no argument, we all picked our Spice Girl for the day with no overlaps.  Let me just say my favorite thing about them (besides that amazing price of 95L!) is the fact they are in two parts so you can really work with a variety of body shapes.  Fear not, if you are not in the mood to be a spice girl there are other styles as well to suit everyone's taste.  We snatched up the Adorkable Pop Star poses and were good to go!

I enjoy Grimm's fairy tales.  And by Grimm's fairy tales I mean the real deal.  Not the glossed over sugared up versions that the populace has generally accepted over the years.  Granted I believe they have a place and obviously not in a children's book.   They are rather eye opening and disturbing none the less.  If you have never taken a look at how all the "classics" started out, I suggest taking a peek down that dark and twisted path sometime if you dare.  Little red riding hood did... and she seems to have tangled with a wolf.

Believe it or not, I spend a great deal of time trying to convince people that, between Autumn and myself, I am the innocent one. For real! It may not always seem that way, but it's true! That being said, the 50 Shades of Sexy Challenge has me so excited its ridiculous. This week, Autumn and I took a trip to Bishes Inc. to check out the goodies there. I had such a hard time deciding which undies were going to convey the sugary sweet visions of sexy I had in my head. I decided to go with red, because, well...Gos Shoes. This is definitely my favorite time of year. Valentine's  day is closing in fast and everything is pink, red and sweet! Perfect Wardrobe has gotten in the spirit this round! Sometimes we all just need to kick back a little, listen to some music and love life.  Our Second Life roller coaster rides can be sometimes just as crazy as our real life ones.  We have ups and downs, bumps in the road and lord to we have drama on Second Life.  If you claim to be drama free then you either need to play a lottery ticket or quit lying.  (I tease I tease... maybe.)  Either way its good to get back to your roots once in a while and enjoy yourself and remember why you are here and who keeps you coming back.  My rock is my sister.  Life made us friends, love made us sisters.  And she was indeed kind enough to endure my whimsical retro backdrop while I made all kinds of horrid faces at her from behind this record.

I think it is inevitable at the end of another calendar year that we all end up doing a little more soul searching that we do the rest of the year.  We look back over the course of events that have shaped us for better or worse and make our vows on what we will do differently in the year to come.  Will you stick to them?  That is another story entirely. 

 

There are some amazing items out there for all of your SL party needs right now with Christmas and New Year's lurking so close and I highlighted a mere few here. 

 

Firstly at the Zodiac event this is the Adore & Abhor gown for Capricorn.  I am a love it for being not only a mermaid gown but also being my birthstone garnet.  It comes in naughty and nice versions and more colors are due to be released in store after the event.  Do you dare to wear naughty? 

 

Secondly if you have not been to My Attic I strongly suggest checking it out.  The items within are all VERY reasonably priced (at 95L each this blogger believes) and this month did not disappoint.  Glam Affair has released three holiday skins there which I could not resist adding to my growing collection of her skins.  W. Winx has this amazing New Years Winxbox and it can be used with the poses included or your own if you like.  Also Exile has released this amazing hair with hairclip attachment optional.

♥ Together For Sway ♥

Guys, I am SO excited! This Saturday, an amazing event opens and I can't wait for y'all to get your shop on! Together For Sway is a funraising event for Sway Dench, creator of Sway's. She has recently been diagnosed with a benign tumor in her brain and will be having surgery very soon. SL is Sway's only source of income and she may be out of commission for 6 months. So, the amazing SL community has come together to raise money to help Sway in her time of need. A bunch of designers have donated items to this event and from what I've seen so far, you're definitely going to go broke! 100% of the profits from this event all go directly to Sway, so you know your money is sure to go where it's supposed to. Everyone has been working really hard on this event and I'm so proud to be a part of it. Please make sure to stop by this great event!

The Expo Is Coming!

Hey! Guess what?! Christmas Expo 2012 opens tomorrow! We're all familiar with Relay For Life and the many awesome fundraisers that are held each year in Second Life to benefit The American Cancer Society. And it's rare, these days, to find someone whose life hasn't been affected by cancer in some way. The Christmas Expo is a great way to support a great cause and to also support your shopping addiction! I got to check out all 5 sims earlier today and I have to say - it's gorgeous! There's also going to be some great events including a breedables auction and The Avi Choice Awards, plus live DJ's every day! You can check out the schedule of events, here! My favorite part? All over the Expo there are santa bag's sitting around...click them and Santa will check his list to see if you've been naughty or nice! If you've been nice, you get a present! Sadly, I was mostly naughty and I came home with an inventory full of mostly coal. Below is just a small sampling of the goodies I came home with!
